About MRA
The Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) is the largest non-profit funder of melanoma research. Since its founding in 2007, MRA has committed $123 million in funding to advance our understanding of this disease and each award was carefully vetted by a world-renowned Grant Review Committee and then approved by its Board of Directors.
MRA’s ability to fund wide-ranging research in melanoma is amplified by unique multi-faceted collaborations and partnerships with individuals, private foundations, and corporations. In fact, collaboration is at MRA’s core—from the team approaches to research that we fund, to the way we find partners who can help us realize our vision.
MRA is also advised by three expert panels – in the areas of science, medicine, and dermatology – who provide critical insight into MRA’s scientific agenda, RFP focus areas, and educational programming needs.
